Editing

Cloud Editor

Zoom in, swap backgrounds, resize your webcam — all after recording.

The Sirvez Cloud Editor is a full post-production suite inside Media Center. After uploading, add keyframe zoom effects, replace the background with a device frame, resize the webcam PiP, crop the frame, record a reaction overlay, and control audio — from any browser, no extension required.

Every tool runs in the browser after upload. No app, no plugin, no render queue — changes save automatically as you work.

What it does

Zoom Effects

Click to place keyframe pan-and-zoom points on the timeline. Set a zoom level up to 2.0× and a hold duration per keyframe. Clear all zoom points with one button.

Background Editor

Replace the recording background with a solid colour, an uploaded image, or a Browser or Phone device frame. Adjust scale (default 80%) and apply a Drop Shadow for depth.

Webcam PiP Editing

After recording, change the webcam bubble size (S, M, or L), switch the shape between Circle, Square, and Rectangle, and drag to reposition it anywhere on the canvas.

Crop

Trim the edges of the video frame to remove unwanted interface elements, browser chrome, or peripheral toolbars from a screen recording.

Webcam Reaction

Record yourself reacting to the video as it plays back. The reaction audio replaces the source audio at export. Supports background blur on the reaction webcam feed.

Audio Control

Mute the source video audio entirely at export — useful for silent recordings, or when replacing the original narration with a reaction recording.

Before & after

Without Sirvez With Sirvez
Desktop background visible behind the recording in client-facing materials Swap background to a clean Browser frame or solid colour in two clicks
Webcam bubble covering a key UI element with no way to move it after recording Resize and reposition the webcam bubble post-recording to any size and corner
No way to draw attention to a specific interaction after the fact Add 2× keyframe zoom to any moment to direct the viewer's eye precisely
Original narration locked in — can't remove or replace the audio track Mute source audio or record a fresh live reaction track that replaces it

The editing panel organises tools into six sections: Zoom Effects, Background, Webcam PiP, Crop, Webcam Reaction, and Audio. Each tool is independent, so you can combine them freely — a background-swapped, zoomed-in recording with a resized webcam bubble takes under two minutes.

Common questions

What is the difference between the Local Editor and Cloud Editor?

The Local Editor runs inside the Chrome extension and works on recordings before they are uploaded, keeping everything on-device. It handles trim and basic annotations. The Cloud Editor is part of Sirvez Media Center and becomes available after upload — it provides the full toolset including Zoom Effects, Background Editor, Webcam PiP customisation, Crop, Webcam Reaction recording, and audio control. The Cloud Editor works in any browser without the extension installed, making it accessible from any device. Full answer →

How do Zoom Effects work?

Click the Add Zoom button, then click the point on the video canvas where you want the zoom to start. This places a keyframe on the timeline. In the Settings panel, adjust the Zoom Level (up to 2.0×) and Hold Duration to control how long the zoom stays in before animating back out. You can add multiple keyframes to pan and zoom across different moments in the recording. Click Clear All to remove every zoom keyframe and return to the original unzoomed version. Full answer →

Can I change the webcam PiP size and shape after recording?

Yes. Even if you recorded with a specific webcam PiP size and position, you can change both in the Cloud Editor after uploading. Size options are S, M, and L. Shape options are Circle, Square, and Rectangle. You can also drag the bubble to reposition it anywhere on the canvas — moving it away from interface elements you need visible, or changing its corner to match your preferred presentation style. None of these adjustments require re-recording. Full answer →

What does the Background Editor do?

The Background Editor replaces the area behind the recording frame with a new background. Options include a solid colour fill, an image you upload, or a built-in device frame — either a Browser window or a Phone mockup. When using a device frame, the video is composited inside the device outline. You can adjust the scale of the video within the frame and add a Drop Shadow for a polished, floating appearance. This is particularly useful for making a screen recording look professional in a sales deck or on a website without re-recording. Full answer →

Is the Cloud Editor available on the free plan?

The Webcam Reaction feature and watermark-free video export are part of the Pro plan.
