Sharing
Password Protection
Lock sensitive recordings with SHA-256 password protection.
Sirvez lets you add a password to any shared recording, secured with SHA-256 hashing, so only intended recipients can watch it.
Setting a password takes two fields: the password itself and an optional hint. Viewers see the password prompt before the video loads — the recording URL is non-functional without it.
What it does
SHA-256 hashing
Passwords are stored as irreversible cryptographic hashes, not plain text.
Optional password hint
Add a hint to help the intended recipient remember the correct password.
URL-level protection
The video does not load at all without the correct password entered.
SHA-256 means the password is stored as a hash, not in plain text. Even if the database were queried directly, the original password is not recoverable from the stored value.
